Writing on the Mountain

Cost includes transportation, lunch andlight dinners, and daytime use of Colton House.

Spend a weekend on our cool blue mountain and write your wild heart out. We will gather early in the gardens for bird song and the sweet smells of wet pine woods, walk out to journal on the flowery mountain, and write through the afternoon monsoon in the Museum’s handcrafted Colton House. Our mission will be to let our refreshed six senses light the way into our deep and mysterious inner geographies. Our personal ‘maps’ can take any form, from field journals to poetry to story or the personal essay. After dinner and conversation around the big table, we will celebrate the evenings with words and music. Lodging is not included, however affordable housing is available at the Museum.
