Maggie Sacher, Longtime Colorado Plateau Resident and Lodge Owner

Maggie SacherAfter leaving a corporate career in Phoenix, Maggie Sacher moved north to the remote beauty of the Arizona Strip to reopen the historic Vermilion Cliffs Lodge. For more than twenty years, she has hosted travelers, fishermen, hikers, students, and dignitaries at her quaint hotel and restaurant tucked up against the looming and provocative escarpment of the Vermillion Cliffs

Maggie has been actively involved in the conservation and community of the remote, yet inviting, landscapes of Arizona’s northern most reaches. She has served as a Coconino County Commissioner, an Arizona Game and Fish Department Public Advisory Council member, a Bureau of Land Management Advisory Council member, and board member of Grand Circle Field School

"I am proud to have my property serve as the home to the Peregrine Fund Condor Recovery field crew and their condor medical facility, and as a base for educational outings in the area, says Sacher."
